Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Project Us is built around conversations that can be deeply personal. This draft explains the product’s privacy principles and clearly flags details that Ktizo Labs must confirm before launch.

The short version

Private reflections are private unless you choose to share them. Your partner’s raw response is not automatically shared, and AI-assisted messages require the original speaker’s review and approval before delivery. Ktizo Labs does not sell private relationship content.

01

Scope and policy status

This Privacy Policy applies to the Project Us mobile application, related product pages, and support services operated by Ktizo Labs (“Project Us,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Project Us is currently in development, so product-dependent details below are marked for owner review rather than presented as final promises.

Owner review: Confirm the launch jurisdictions, legal bases for processing, and any state- or country-specific disclosures before release.

02

Account information

Depending on the account system used at launch, Project Us may collect your name, email address, sign-in credentials or tokens, internal user identifier, age-eligibility confirmation, device information, app version, language, approximate region derived from network information, and support communications.

We use account information to authenticate you, maintain your settings, pair accounts when requested, provide support, protect the service, and communicate important product or policy updates.

Owner review: Confirm the identity provider, required profile fields, and whether age verification is collected.

03

How partner pairing works

Project Us is designed to connect two accounts only after an invitation is accepted. Pairing allows shared activities, partner-visible messages, progress, and other experiences clearly labeled as shared. Pairing does not make all content in either account visible to the other person.

Before pairing, Project Us will explain what connection information is shared. Before unpairing, it will explain the effect on shared content and future access.

Owner review: Confirm invitation expiry, identity verification, blocked-user behavior, re-pairing rules, and what historical shared data remains accessible after unpairing.

04

Private and shared information

Private information may include written reflections, raw voice recordings, transcripts, draft messages, private Partner Playbook answers, and notes you have not approved for sharing. Your partner’s raw response is not automatically shared with you, and yours is not automatically shared with them.

Shared information includes only content you deliberately approve or content created in an activity that is clearly labeled as shared. Project Us will show when information is moving from private to shared and identify the intended recipient.

Project Us does not decide who is right, diagnose a relationship, or send an AI-generated message on a person’s behalf without their approval.

05

Written reflections, voice, transcripts, and AI drafts

When you choose to write or record a reflection, Project Us may process the text, audio, or resulting transcript to organize your meaning and create an AI-assisted draft. Only the information needed for the selected activity should be used. The draft remains private until you review and approve it for delivery.

Raw recordings, transcripts, and drafts may have different storage needs. The app will disclose relevant controls and retention behavior before the feature is used.

Owner review: Confirm the AI, transcription, and hosting providers; processing locations; subprocessors; audio handling; exact retention windows; and whether provider contracts prohibit use of Project Us content to train general AI models. Until confirmed, Ktizo Labs makes no broader model-training claim.

06

Partner Playbook personalization

The Partner Playbook may use answers and preferences you provide—such as communication style, emotional-processing preferences, conflict patterns, and preferred forms of support—to personalize prompts, guidance, and AI-assisted drafts.

Project Us will distinguish between private answers and any summarized insight you choose to share. A Playbook insight should be used only for the product experience and permissions presented to you.

Owner review: Confirm which Playbook fields are stored, how users inspect or correct them, whether inferences are created, and when a partner may see a shared insight.

07

Permissions and user controls

Project Us may request microphone, notification, or other device permissions only when a feature needs them. You can decline or change optional permissions through the app or your device settings, although some features may then be unavailable.

Planned controls include reviewing drafts before sharing, editing or discarding drafts, choosing what your partner can see, managing Playbook preferences, unpairing, and requesting account deletion.

Owner review: Confirm the final permission screens and whether every planned control is available at launch.

08

Subscriptions and purchase data

Purchases may be processed by the Apple App Store or another platform provider. Ktizo Labs may receive subscription status, product identifier, transaction identifier, renewal status, entitlement information, and limited purchase diagnostics, but does not receive your full payment-card details from the App Store.

Owner review: Confirm the final billing platform, paired-subscription structure, free-trial terms, and purchase-validation provider.

09

Analytics and diagnostics

Project Us may collect limited feature-use events, app version, device and operating-system information, performance measurements, crash reports, and security logs to understand reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

Private relationship content should not be included in analytics events unless it is strictly necessary, clearly disclosed, and handled under appropriate protections.

Owner review: Confirm analytics and crash-reporting vendors, event schemas, IP-address treatment, advertising identifiers, and opt-out controls.

10

Service providers and disclosures

We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, AI processing, transcription, email, customer support, security, subscriptions, analytics, and crash diagnostics. They may process information only to provide services to Ktizo Labs and under applicable contractual obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. Ktizo Labs does not sell private relationship content.

Owner review: Publish the final subprocessor list and confirm contractual confidentiality, security, and data-use restrictions.

11

Data retention and deletion

Project Us intends to keep information only as long as needed to provide the requested features, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and honor user choices. Different categories—such as account records, private reflections, shared content, audio, transcripts, drafts, backups, and billing records—may require different retention periods.

You may request deletion by emailing support@ktizolab.com. We may need to verify account ownership before acting.

Owner review: Set exact active-storage, backup, legal-hold, and deletion-completion periods before launch.

12

Account deletion and unpairing

Unpairing and deleting an account are separate actions. Unpairing stops the connected experience between partners; account deletion requests removal of information associated with your account, subject to legal, security, and backup limits.

Because some content may have been deliberately shared with another account, Project Us will explain what happens to that shared copy before the user confirms either action.

Owner review: Confirm the final behavior for shared messages, joint activity history, purchased entitlements, re-pairing, and the surviving partner’s access.

13

Security practices

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and secure network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Owner review: Confirm encryption at rest, key management, administrator access, audit logging, incident response, and security-testing practices before making more specific claims.

14

Children’s privacy

Project Us is designed for committed partners and is not directed to children. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will review and delete it as required.

Owner review: Confirm the minimum age, age-gating design, and any parental-consent obligations in launch markets.

15

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Project Us evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
